Egyptian 'keeper leaves Whizzers, as recruitment drive commences
Billy Whizz's Wonderboys received a fee of over 50m for goalkeeper Khalid Shehata, bringing the end to the young keepers 2 year stay at the club.
As was revealed on this blog last week, Shehata was placed on the list after Whizz decided a more experienced keeper was needed for his side to progress in Division 5.
"We're pleased Shehata had the opportunity to return to Egypt and we wish him all the best in the future." said Whizz
"We're happy with the fee we got, and the drive for a new keeper is well under way. Several players are under consideration, we're hopeful of signing one before Wednesday's game for sure, but until then Cartman is a capable stand in."
More build up to the first game of the season will be on this blog today and tomorrow, and any new signings will be announced on here first.
