Whizz challenges his team to show promotion credentials
Billy Whizz prepared for his sides match against Man Utd SER tonight by saying his team were prepared for any challenge thrown at them in their quest to for promotion into Division 4.
Man Utd SER were pre season favourites for an immediate return to Division 4, but have recently slipped into 5th place, below the Whizzers. Injuries to key players have meant a difficult rotation period for SER, and Whizz hopes his side can further damage their opponents chances:
"It will be a real difficult game for sure, and people should remember that we're without a few top players as well. Luke Grove is our talisman, so somebody else is going to have to step up, but we're very confident"
"This week is a tough week for sure, playing 2 promotion rivals and then Soccor of Napoli, who have been a solid team in recent seasons, but it's an ideal chance to show that we are the team to beat. It's definitely time to step up, and I've been explaining that to the players. I think we're ready for anything this week is going to throw at us"
Every move that the club takes will be analysed on the Team of the Season forum, and Whizz is aware of the extra pressure that brings:
"We know everybody's going to be watching us, and talking about our set of results, so we want to make sure they're going to be talking about something positive. Of course, it's an extra incentive to do well, there's no doubt about that, but it means we have to work that bit harder.
