Whizz desperate for consistency

Billy Whizz's Wonderboys manager Billy Whizz has urged his team to refind their early season prowess, as he saw his team slip into the relegation zone for the first time this campaign after their 1-0 defeat against Earby All Stars.

The Whizzer's won their first 3 games of the season, easing initial relegation fears, but a run of just 1 win in 10 games has left Whizz's team reeling.

"We started like a house on fire to be honest, and we played some real nice stuff. We made our own luck in the early games, and we showed a real determination to get something out of every game" said Whizz

"A bit of that fire has definitely gone out. We knew we weren't going to be around the top forever, but the way we've crumbled has been very disappointing"

The Wonderboys face Romans at Shitters Palace on Wednesday night, and Whizz is pleased with the rest for his players:

"After Sundays game, we were all a bit uptight and tense. Frustrations were running high, because we'd let everything slip. I think straight after the game the players wanted to get back out there again, but now we've had some time to accept our position, I'm pleased with the small break."

"It allows us some time to get our heads round where we are, and what we're going to do about it. We can once more be totally focussed on our plans. There's a lot of time to go until the end of the season, so there's no point panicking - we need to relax, but concentrate and come back stronger than ever on Wednesday. Time is very much on our side, so if we all pull in the same direction, I'm confident that we can get out of trouble"

French duo Phillipe Konz (suspension) and Florent Tessadri (injury) will both miss Wednesdays encounter. Anthony Wielgas is set to start, and will get an opportunity to impress in tomorrow's friendly against Twofroes Champs.
