2 more transfer listed

Wonderboys continue their strives to reduce the average age of their squad, as they put 2 senior players up for sale.

Following the transfer listing of winger Phillipe Konz earlier this week, striker Mick Richards and midfielder Paul George have also been made surplus to requirements. The minimum bid for both is 0, and a nominal bid has been made for 32 year old Richards, who was a member of the original Whizzer's squad.

"It's pretty difficult telling these guys that they are no longer needed" said manager Billy Whizz

"However, we believe in our long term strategy, and the development of youth is key. Previously, as a club we've had a lot of short term success, but long term planning is needed if we wish to reach the higher echelons of the English leagues"

"Once our cup run ends, fans can expect to see more older players on the TL, as we cannot afford to have them retire on us. There may be difficult times ahead for the club, but we ask the fans to stick with us, because these plans may only start to come to fruition in a couple of seasons"

Richards has played 137 games for the Whizzers, scoring 62 goals. George was signed earlier this season for £100k, and has made 4 appearances, scoring 1 goal.
