Youngster signed, but veterans stay

Recent transfer activity roundup

Billy Whizz's Wonderboys completed the signing of Brian Platt this morning, for a fee of 1.2m.

The young midfielder was signed from Cutlers Nutters from an open transfer, meaning that the Whizzers had a bid on Platt for 5 days, before the deal was finalised.

"We saw potential in him, so we made an offer which was accepted. It meant that we had our money on him for a while, without knowing if he would actually come to us, but we're very happy with the purchase"

Cutlers manager Piggy expressed his surpise at the low price of the deal, adding that the Wonderboys had a very good deal.

Meanwhile, Matt Hawthorn, Preda, and David Thorpe failed to sell yesterday. Preda has been placed on the transfer list again this afternoon. Billy Whizz could also sell defensive midfielder Florent Tessadri. It has now been 6 weeks since the 33 year old arrived at Shitters Palace.
