bin Whizzer injury overshadows tight win

Whizz reveals that fans favourite may have played his last game for the club, as the Wonderboys complete a narrow win over willowvale arsenal at Shitters Palace.

Billy Whizz's Wonderboys boss Billy Whizz confirmed this evening that defender bin Whizzer may be released from the club, after a serious injury in stoppage times resulted in the 35 year old Egyptian defender being stretchered off.

"It looks pretty nasty" confirmed Whizz, "While he could be fit for the end of the season, he'd be playing a maximum of 5 games, and we have to decide whether that's financially prudent or not"

"While he will always be a club legend for his no nonsense defensive approach, and his superb professionalism during his time with us, it may be that the best course of action is for him to call his retirement a few weeks early"

The injury mars an otherwise pleasing evening for the Wonderboys, as striker Luke Groves continued his recent good form, scoring the only goal of the game in the 57th minute, after some delightful showboating from midfielder Tessadri

"It was a great night bar that" said the Wonderboys boss.

"We worked hard, and although we let ourselves down at times in the final third, overall it was a pretty decent display. We'd like to work Leese less, obviously, with some better defending in front of him, but when he's on the form he was tonight, it's pretty difficult to get past him"
