Connolly leaves for 25m

Funds go straight to Whizz for recruitment

Billy Whizz's Wonderboys officially confirmed the departure of youngster Dwight Connolly this afternoon to Division 5 club hills of chazza for a fee of 25.8m.

As revealed this morning on the BWW blog, chazza had placed an agent of 25m on the defender, however later transfer action meant that the bid had to be slightly increased. The money will now be available for Whizz to spend, and senior figures at Shitters Palace have not ruled out any action this evening.

A striker is at the top of Whizz's priority list, but his is also wanting a right midfielder, to replace the now retired Maurice Meredith. He told Club de Arsenal, who the Whizzers play in a friendly tonight, that the team 'won't be as strong as usual, due to departures' and that 'incomings were unlikely before kick off'.

Thomas Avery will also leave the club later on today, although bidding on the promising young striker has so far been quiet, and Whizz is confident of higher bids being lodged closer to the expiry time of the transfer.

Billy Whizz will write a preview for Season 25 exclusively for BWW blog tomorrow. The official fixture list will also be published, as well as any new signings.
