Two more set to leave club

Quick transfers of youngsters enforced so funds can be available

Billy Whizz's Wonderboys have transfer listed Thomas Avery and Dwight Connolly this afternoon, as Billy Whizz urgently tries to free up funding for possible new signings.

An offer has been placed on Dwight Connolly, for 1.5m by hills of chazza, but senior figures hope that the final price will be higher, although with the economic climate after the Season Update unknown, it represents something of a gamble by the Wonderboys management. It has been confirmed however, that significant advertising has been placed on Connolly, in an attempt to raise awareness of the sale, and boost the price.

No bid has been lodged for Thomas Avery, though there are thought to be many clubs interested. Several enquiries have been made during the season, however only one bid has been made, one which Whizz called 'derisory', 2 months ago. The club are hoping for a significant return on one of their most prized assets, possibly reaching a price of 25m.

Both transfers are set to finish on Tuesday afternoon, 24 hours before O'Reilly and Hill, who are set to end after the first game of the season, on Wednesday. This means that some business could be completed by the club in time for the big kick off, although Chammys GYAN is set to end on Sunday afternoon. A foreign striker is also thought to figure highly in Whizz's plans, but he has understandably kept his cards close to his chest. A right midfielder is also wanted, although no open transfers are planned by the club at this stage.

Season 25 is officially launched tomorrow, and all the build up to the first game, on Wednesday evening, will be here on the blog, including Whizz's ambitions for the months ahead, and news of player arrivals and departures.
