Reaction: Whizz on securing promotion
Billy Whizz was soaked with champagne by the end of the evening that will be remembered for a long time by Wonderboys supporters. It was finally confirmed that Billy Whizz's Wonderboys would be playing Division 4 football for the first time in their history next season, and Whizz was the proudest man in Shitters Palace at the full time whistle:
"We're still a relatively new club, and we'll be playing some pretty big teams next season, but we deserve it, thats for sure. We've dealt with a lot this season, and at one stage we couldn't buy a win for toffee, but we came through, and there's a great spirit of togetherness here"
"It's been a season to remember. We've built a great squad, and it's been a fantastic effort by everybody here; the players, the coaches, the scouts - nobody's shirked responsibility, and people have stepped up to the plate when they've needed to. It's important we don't forget that next season, when things will undoubtedly be much tougher"
"We'll be underdogs, thats for sure, and there's a lot of hard work to be done between now and the first game of the season. Fans can expect players in and out, and we'll be looking at hundreds of players to find the right characters for the team, but first we should be delighted with our work this season"
