Transfer plans gaining momentum

Target list nearing completion says Whizz

With less than one week to go until Season 25 officially begins, and 8 days until Billy Whizz's Wonderboys first division 4 match in their history, the hard work is only just beginning, despite promotion from Division 5 only being confirmed 2 days ago.

Due to Man Utd SER drawing with nottingham forest fc, the Wonderboys were promoted regardless of their result against Super Starzz, meaning the 1-0 defeat was inconsequential, but the celebrations from that night at Shitters Palace are well and truly over, and preparations for the new season have begun.

Top of Whizz's wish list is a striker and a right midfielder to replace Maurice Meredith. Chammy's GYAN is being closely monitored, although The Forest Boys FC are widely regarded as favourites to sign the 22 year old English striker, for a fee in the region of 40m. Billy Whizz is looking to hi-jack that deal late on, if possible. Locomotive United striker Joe Britain was previously considered, however his lack of experience means that it is somewhat unlikely he will move to Shitters Palace.

Alan Eastwood, of Useless Planks United has come under scrutiny from Whizz and his management team, although financial demands are likely to put a stopper on that deal, despite his fine performances this season, with 5 goals and 10 assists.

Player sales are also inevitable, although the club are yet to produce a released list. Phil Jones, Enver The Rock Mandirah and Maurice Meredith will retire at the end of the season, while it is thought O'Reilly and experienced striker Mick Richards could also be leaving the club to pave the way for new signings. Youngsters Michael Hill, Dwight Connolly and Thomas Avery have also attracted interest from other clubs, yet no official bids have been received.

Any new signings will be announced on the Wonderboys blog, so be sure to check back for all the latest news.
